Joining Civil Air Patrol
Do have a passion for aviation, emergency services, building yourself up to become one of America's leaders that is well equipped to serve their community, state, and nation? As part of the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, CAP members train to be tomorrow's leaders. From the program's inception on December 1, 1941, CAP has been a leading volunteer organization that provides education and training for members aged 12 and up in leadership, search and rescue, hands-on aerospace (orientation flights), and many more challenging and exciting activities.
Are you ready to work with a strong team to make a positive difference for yourself and a team of highly trained and dedicated people? That's great! In order to make sure you are a good fit for Civil Air Patrol and to make a better determination that you will enjoy the program, we require all non-prior members to attend at least three weekly meetings before officially joining. Please fill out the contact form below and we will be able to give you helpful information about the program, including what it has to offer. Then, our members will give you instructions on how you can visit one of our weekly meetings as a guest to learn more about CAP.

As a senior member, your expectations are to provide support to both the Senior Member and Cadet programs by providing excellent supervision skills, leadership skills, problem solving skills, motivation to assist youth in leadership training, and a high degree of professionalism.
